You already answered the big Q about UlquiHime porn, so...any favorite recipes to share?
Lastly...What's your perfect Sunday?

Date: 2009-04-23 05:10 pm (UTC)I loved WHR but the skimpyness of A/R kills me. The part where he puts the note in her hair gets me flushed everytime. There really isn't enough porn with those two.
I love your work and enjoy reading your musings.
Ok here's a question which do you prefer Anita Blake Vampire Hunter or Twlight?

Date: 2009-04-23 07:15 pm (UTC)And there's no denying that they went off together at the end of the series to make little super!witch-babies.:DI tried watching the FMA anime, and...I just couldn't get into it. I've also seen parts of Cowboy Bebop, and while that was enjoyable, there wasn't enough emotional investment between characters to really grab me enough.
Thank you! I will try to get more works done very soon.
And as far as ABVH or Twilight....the lesser of the two evils, for me, would be Twilight. Because as much disdain as I have for that story, at least it's about innocent young love -- and hasn't degenerated into shoddy were/vamp porn, as is in the case of Anita Blake. That woman is a cockblocking Mary Sue if I've ever heard of one. :/

Date: 2009-04-23 07:22 pm (UTC)About the waterboarding...man, after hearing that Condi Rice actually gave the CIA the okay for that, I'm thinking we should just hold her responsible. I mean, seriously. I know even worse shit than that goes on in other countries, but we are supposed to uphold the regulations of the Geneva Convention, and we -- as this ever-touted "land of the free" -- have to be an example to the rest of the world. Degenerating into torturous and barbarous behavior just because "other countries do it" is not an excuse that we can live with anymore. We have to be better than that.
Someone should hold the Bush Administration accountable for all of the fuck-ups they did in the last 8 years. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening.

Here's a good, simple summer recipe I've just started making again, as the weather's gotten hotter. (Karen is my mom's name. It was her original recipe, and I just modified it. :D):
Karen's Asian Chicken Salad
After you've cooked the chicken (or bought the rotisserie version), shred the meat into small bites and add to the mixture of veggies. For the addition of the ramen noodles, you can just take the crushed noodles, without the flavor packet, and heat with a pat of butter and oil over medium heat in a saucepan, just for 5 minutes or so to brown them. Drain them on a paper towel before adding them to the salad.
Dressing:
Whisk together and pour over salad, preferably in a container where you can then shake salad to distribute it evenly. Stays crunchy for a while in the fridge, even with the dressing, because of the cabbage. :D
(I should really start putting up more of my summer food and drink recipes these days...when the weather gets hot, our entire menu changes. :D)
And lastly...as for a perfect Sunday, I'd say it's more like this past Sunday. John and I woke up late, had coffee and pancakes, did some gardening and sunbathing in our little backyard, played some tennis, came home and showered, then went for sushi and a leisurely bookstore run, during which he reads and I camp out with my laptop and write for a bit. I love days like that where we have a perfect blend of outside/inside activities. :)

Date: 2009-04-24 12:09 am (UTC)*proceeds with immediate copypasta-ing of recipe* Quick and easy is too tempting to pass up for very long. This is amazing! Cheating with prepped chicken, pfft, call it being a timesaver. As luck would have it, I made a massive batch of Soy Sauce Chicken last night, and used that in the salad (and, growing up with pretty traditional grandparents, all of those ingredients are always in the kitchen - who knew!) and it is mue tasty ^__^
My roomie isn't big on ginger, but she mauled this thing up before I threatened to fight her for the rest of it. Please continue to post more summer yummies in the future, for this is friggin fantabulous~
Your Sunday sounds glorious - active with tons of stuff to do, yet leisurely and low-key. It's delicious as well - good for the soul all over!

Date: 2009-04-24 01:14 am (UTC)But my rl is on a downturn at the moment ...
but yours sounds like it's heading in the right direction! :D
I have a strange relationship with BLEACH. I liked it at first ... I found Ichigo and Rukia's chemistry charming. Duh. I'm a romantic ... ANYWAY ... I fell out when it became about ever increasing #'s of soul reapers with kind of stupid designs. Too many BIG BOOBS ... IDK.
I've seen bits and pieces of Ulquiorra and Urihime. (Mostly FAN ART) I'm intrigued ... but you know how that goes. :P I'm kinda tired of looking for romance in the adolescent imaginations of guys my age. :( They don't have a clue. [I'm still going to read up on Ulquiorra/Urihime XP]
2. hmmm. yes. I've fallen out of love with Avatar as a product. D; But I feel compelled to finish my comic out of SPITE! XD *shakesfist* I'll SHOW 'EM!!! I still find Zuko and Katara and all the variations thereof interesting ... I Like to go there. (escape much?) But I think this first exploration into public fandom has left me with a distaste for fandom in general. It's almost better to just enjoy stuff on your own. (with rl friends and lovers?)
3. yay. :)
I'm trying to reconcile myself with my disappointment.
[And it's not just Avatar]
These days I'm a bit frazzled 0_o and prone to mistakes. So I appreciate it. ^________^
Especially since I lost my rl Beta in January. </3 {The 'other' disappointment}

Date: 2009-05-04 10:50 pm (UTC)Blue Seed is also entertaining in it's way. The first half of the series is pretty repetitive, but the second half escalates and escalates in some very cool ways, culminating in an intense finale. Not anywhere near Trigun intense, but still quite rockin'.

Date: 2009-05-04 10:58 pm (UTC)And yay! I know so very few Blue Seed fans. The animation wasn't that stellar, and the music score is laughable by today's standards I guess...but I really liked the storyline, and I agree, the intense finale.

Date: 2009-05-04 11:03 pm (UTC)Yes. It sucked me in because it was like the show said, "Here, we'll give you this really fun and likable character, and then you can watch as we DESTROY HIM. And maybe build him back up again at the end. MAYBE."
Since I adore humor mixed with angst and character-analysis, it was Rashaka/Trigun OTP forever.
