So as I discussed in zutarotica recently, I have opened up an etsy shop! The purpose is to create and sell jewelry (fine gemstone and otherwise) inspired by Avatar: the Last Airbender. ^^ Geeky, I know, but I was inspired to embark on it after seeing these posts in avatar_fans, and the idea took hold and wouldn't let me go. I've had a thing for making jewelry anyway for a while now, and this seems to be a great outlet.

So for my flist, I thought I'd give a sneak peek at some of the stones and focal pieces I've been gathering for my upcoming projects:

That's it for now...I've assembled most of the items I need, and I'll be spending the next several weeks busily constructing. I'll be sure to make a link to the finished projects when they're done! :D

Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season, and a Happy New Year's Eve last night. J and I celebrated with champagne, friends and lots and lots of kids - which sparked several late-night discussions of "are we ready for it?" and "such a big commitment" but ultimately ended in "okay, let's do this." haha. Onward!!

Our Christmas haul was a little lighter this year, but we both still got things we wanted, and everyone was happy. Lots of good meals were made, including cakes and cookies of the seasonal variety (I'll have to post my oatmeal-cranberry recipe at some point), and a gym membership was fully utilized to the utmost extent.

Lastly, something I've been busy with while avoiding writing - not sure why, kinda blocked in that area - I've gone crazy with artisan jewelry lately, and these are a couple of my results.
