DIRECTIONS:

  • reply to this post with the word MEME and I will pick six of your icons.
  • make a post (including this info) and talk about the icons I chose.
  • other people can then comment to you and make their own posts.
  • this will create a never ending cycle of icon glee.

She chose these six:

1. My TBT icon. The Burning Time was a Witch Hunter Robin post-series fanfic that took me three years -- and over 180,000 words -- to complete. I actually made this icon myself, years ago, believe it or not -- I taught myself how to make animated .gif icons one day in photoshop and photoready, but wouldn't you know it, I didn't write the directions down and I completely forgot how to afterwards. Oh well...I guess I can always re-educate myself at some point...and yes, that *is* in fact Jude Law in the icon. He's my RL version of the character Seth, if there ever was one.

2. This is my adorable "wtf" owl. I don't remember where I got it from, but it serves its purpose as a 'cracked out' icon quite nicely.

3. One of my most-loved and frequently-used Avatar icons, made by [livejournal.com profile] sporkyadastreia. This is from early on in S2, while the GAang is en route to the town of Omashu. I think "The Cave of the Two Lovers" is actually one of my favorite episodes, despite there being "Kataang"-ness going on; I absolutely love Chong and the Hippie Nomads, and Sokka's reactions to them. Endless enjoyment for me.

4. An artistic representation of the symbol for Pisces, the Zodiac sign I fall under. It's actually supposed to be two fish swimming in opposite directions, but I love the imagery of the fish swimming in the same circle, and forming the yin-yang motif. (Much like Tui and La, from Avatar.) I think the yin-yang thing suits the sign's dual nature.

5. Sumire and Momo, from Kimi wa Petto. I adore this jdrama. It's one of the only jdramas I've seen, but the story really resonated with me on many levels. I use it as one of my huggy-affectionate icons.

6. A pomegranate. I forgot where I got this from; but isn't it pretty? Actually although it's not one of my favorite fruits to eat, I love the rich colors of it and the jeweled seeds inside. Basically you can say I like to admire them. I usually buy a couple throughout the winter to just look at them, and then J gets frustrated and eats them. Incidentally the pomegranate is most famous for its role in the Hades/Persephone myth, which is one of my all-time favorite Greek myths about the origin of the seasons.

Hokay! Have fun. :)
