Surfrron! Long time no hear! I'm so sorry to hear about your mother, how terrible...but I'm glad you're doing okay after the fact.
Yeah, I think UnS has not been very active as of late. Many WHR authors who frequented thosse boards ended up jumping ship for other fandoms - myself included - but I had always planned on returning, and especially to finish Hieros Gamos. I'm sorry it's taking so long! I get so sidetracked by *everything* these days. In addition to my other fandom hobbies, work has been more demanding and my boyfriend of several years just moved in with me four months ago. So I've had my hands full.
Thank you again for suggesting that I try to publish. I'm working on something, not a rewrite of TBT but something kind of along similar lines, but it's going very slowly. I enjoy writing fanfiction more because I get more feedback. But I'm thinking of adding some of my already-written material for it to my original fiction journal, clavicula_vitae...but it will be f-locked. So if you want to view any of it and give me some much-needed feedback, get yourself an LJ and add it to your friends' list! :)
