Announcement: we're in the clear!

Dear Bunny,
As of tomorrow, you will be 12 weeks old! What a milestone! I'm so proud of you for getting this far. You have your momma's tenacity. ^^
Daddy and I saw you on the sonogram on Wednesday, and boy were you active! I never knew there was such a thing as in utero gymnastics. At one point you did a complete flip, and made everybody laugh! You were waving your arms and kicking your legs something fierce. Daddy says you're a boy, and I tend to agree with him based on your heart rate (it's at about 157, down from 167 two weeks ago), but I guess we won't know for certain until we see you again in six and a half weeks. It sounds like a long time to wait, but maybe the doctor might let us see you again in the interim.
By the way, thank you for not making Momma sick any longer...that was definitely no fun. I'll continue to indulge your cravings - I know you want a corned beef and sauerkraut Reuben sandwich right now - but go easy on Momma, okay? I don't want to turn into a balloon sooner than I have to.
Fortunately your nuchal translucency measurement (skin fold on back of neck to observe as a marker of Down's Syndrome) was 1.4mm, which is normal. But man, just look at those chompers!
That's one impressive set of teef.
And we got to see your little face pointed right toward us, which was a little freaky because you look like a monkey right now:
But I'm sure by the time we see you again at 18 weeks or so, you'll look completely normal. Just be sure not to hide your naughty bits then!
Much love,
Momma.

It'll be interesting to see if he's (I'm still calling boy) going to be as active and spunky after the birth!
Glad you're not getting sick anymore- best to have things as smooth as possible. *hugs again*

Actually the quote is "It's a boy! And what a boy!" "Mr Simpson that's the umbilical cord. It's a girl."

You will have to let me know the sex as soon as you know--I can start work on a blanket for you then! I mean, I don't want to make something purple and all of a sudden you're like, "IT'S A BOY!!"
That would be tragic. Unless you're giving birth to Prince. Then it would rock.

And I hope you know, I have permanently associated you with your bunny icons.

In a funny twist of coincidence my cousin just announced she's 13-14 wks preggo, which puts her bunny a week and a few days give or take older than yours! Whats even crazier is that she feel madly in love with an amazing Marine officer whose part Asian, super smart (and hot!) whose now her hubby/baby daddy. Between her Asian mixed bunny and your Asian mixed bunny they will be the cutest babies evar!!!
