Projects Update.

Well, since it's been almost exactly a year since my last one, I guess I should stick to habit and post up my current list of fiction projects for the summer!

Under the cut is a list of my current writing projects. Ask a question about something. Ask anything about any idea listed here, and I shall attempt to answer it. I reserve the right to not give away Important Plot Points, but otherwise...have at it!

1. Contrition (part 3 of The Penance Series) [Avatar, Zuko/Katara, NC-17]
2. Hieros Gamos, ch. 3, "The Drop" [WHR, Amon/Robin, R]
3. Lotus Resiliens, ch. 8, part 1 [Avatar, Zuko/Katara, T, season 3 AU]
4. Lotus Resiliens, ch. 8 (part 2 - yes, working on them simultaneously! ^^)
5. Under a Blood Red Sky, ch. 2 [Avatar, Zuko/Katara, post-series]
6. Original Fiction. (I've discussed this briefly before, but if anyone is curious about it, I'm perfectly fine with divulging information! Unfortunately I won't be posting any of it to [livejournal.com profile] clavicula_vitae.)
7. Better Off Dead, ch. 2 [Death Note, BB/Naomi, R]
8. Those Who Favour Fire, prologue [Death Note, suprise pairing!, R]
9. Il Bordello [WHR, Amon/Robin, NC-17]

BONUS! Because so many of these are in partially-completed stages, upon request I'll provide you with a small written snippet of fics #1-4 (and #9). For #5-8, since they're in the plotting stages and barely written yet, I'll give you a special plot point upon request. ^^

Bwahahaha....you'll like this part. :D

_______________

There were a couple in English, most with names she didn’t understand either. Lolita. Nymphet. The only one she understood was a French title, L’Amant, ‘The Lover’, also marked ‘unrated director’s cut’. Ah, a romance.

...Amon didn’t really seem like the type who would watch romantic movies, but…

She continued to search through more titles. A few more strangely-titled Japanese ones, and then—

Il Bordello.

Robin’s heart leapt in her chest. An Italian film!

Although, it too was also a slightly strange name for a movie… ‘the mess’? She was unfamiliar with the term bordello; only in the context fare bordello, which meant—according to some of the younger nuns she’d known in the convent—‘to make a mess’. Turning the disc over in her hands, she realized there was no way to know exactly what the movie was about. There were no pictures or descriptive sleeves with it.

The mess. Perhaps the movie was about a slob, or someone who was very messy. She wrinkled her nose slightly in distaste.

Or…it could be, she thought excitedly, her mind spinning, the story of an intrepid young woman, who, in the face of insurmountable obstacles in her life—danger, hidden evil, dark secrets unraveling all around her, made more confusing by a dashing love interest who at turns adores her and suspects her—manages to keep a spot-free and sparkling clean house. The smile that had at first teased her lips had now taken her expression by full force, and even her eyes had widened appreciatively at such a clever story synopsis.

Bene! I will watch this one,” she murmured to herself, pleased with her choice. She turned on the DVD player, placing the disc carefully inside, and returned to the couch. She activated the widescreen television with the remote as she relaxed against the pillows, holding her cup of tea and sipping at it.

The movie started.

After the opening credits, she delighted in the scenery that appeared on the screen; lush greenery, rolling hills, expansive wineries. She gasped with pleasure. Tuscany!

The next scene showed the familiar modest brick layout of a convent, and Robin’s mouth dropped even further in astonishment. Its resemblance to the nunnery she had grown to maturity in was uncanny. Perhaps she was right; perhaps she had accurately predicted the plot of the movie, and it was focused on a Sister of God as the main character, to boot. She placed her tea down on the table beside her, holding the remote control expectantly as her eyes were glued to the screen in fascination.

Soft Gregorian chanting had started up over the scenery. A woman was in a darkened room, her head covered in the dark cowl of a nun’s habit, kneeling on the floor as she prayed before a crucifix. “In nomine patri, et filii, et spiritu sancti,” she said softly in Latin, as she made the sign of the cross over herself; and Robin’s lips moved in silent accompaniment. As the woman rose gracefully to her feet, she pulled back her cowl to reveal a long mane of reddish-blonde hair.

The similarities were astounding, she thought. She began to wonder in the recesses of her mind just approximately when Amon had acquired such a movie, and if it had been before or after she’d been assigned to him as his partner…

Bahahaha. It's a porno. Poor, poor, innocent Robin. Subjected to the many depravities of Amon's mind. :D
