I would imagine it *would* come back around, if only because it's done that before - I was staunchly anti-Avatar after the finale, but then managed to resuscitate my interest in it again 8 months later. But this time...who knows.

Death Note is a great series. There is a scant number of females in it, since the majority of the first arc is L/Light-centric, but what few female characters exist are pretty badass; Naomi, for one. But it explores some interesting themes on good vs. evil. And characters are just gorgeously, beautifully flawed - you can't help but like them. :p
