Sorry I haven't been around lately, but J and I are currently holed up in beautiful Cabo San Lucas in Baja, MX!! We've been here since Thursday with my mom and stepdad, and are just now getting some time to catch up with things.

So far our activities have kept us pretty busy here; besides the beach-going (and with the exception of Superbowl Sunday which was a huge disappointment for the Cardinals, dammit Warner), we've done snorkeling in Santa Maria bay, whale watching, dolphin encounters (one-on-one playing with dolphins in a pool at Cabo Dolphin), shopping, ATV riding out in the desert by Todos Santos (where the Eagles' infamous "Hotel California" resides), and treated ourselves to some much-needed R&R in the form of spa treatments and rich foods. (Maybe too rich. J has a slight previously-unmentioned shellfish allergy, and two nights of lobster in the last 5 days has rendered him kinda lethargic -- he's currently crashed out on the living room couch.)

We've taken some great pictures, but unfortunately I forgot to bring my camera's usb cord with me, so I'll have to wait and upload them when we get back on Friday. I probably won't update again until then -- wifi connection is kinda expensive here -- but I might do some writing too on the laptop and have some goodies to share. :p

Oh, so it's your fault. You leave for a few days and your state goes bankrupt. That'll teach you to take a vacation and relax. Now get back to Cali where it's a cold 72.

I mean, I knew we were in financial trouble, and the Governator was trying to find extra sources for our EDD (unemployment benefits, which was supposed to have run out Feb 1), but I thought he fixed that...

ruh roh. D: I leave for 5 days and no one in Sac can remember to balance the checkbooks anymore?!? Disgraced.

LOL, it just got listed as the worst credit-risk of any of the 50 states... I'm in Oregon (which has it's own problems, mind you) so I can laugh.
